Stopping Arthritis Before it Starts

I did a double take when I first read the title of this article. I was thrilled to read that it is actually true! Researchers at the Keck School of Medicine of USC have created a way to create stem cells that will actually repair cartilage in joints with osteoarthritis! That is just soooo exciting!!! As a woman with osteoarthritis who has already had two full hip replacements I am extra thrilled! As anyone with osteoarthritis knows it is not uncommon to have it in more than one or two joints. My knees have been degenerating for a number of years and I know it is only a matter of time before I'm talking to my doc about replacements. But wow! Maybe, just maybe this treatment will be widely available by that time!

So to all my fellow sufferers of osteoarthritis out there - this is the closest we have even gotten to a cure. Woo hoo!!!!!!!!!! The researchers will next begin testing on humans! Read the article here:
