Parkinson's Disease

Parkinson's Disease is a cruel disease. "Estimates suggest that Parkinson’s affects nearly 1 million people in the United States and more than 6 million people worldwide". Chances are you know someone afflicted with or who has a family member with this disease. The is no cure for this nightmare of a disease. It is impossible to predict the exact impact on a person when they are first diagnosed- it is a long and unpredictable journey. Much research is going on that hopefully will lead to effective treatments and perhaps a cure. The Michael J. Fox Foundation is at the forefront of education, support and research into this disease.
