Specialized equipment is expensive, specialized automobiles are very very expensive. But when you are stuck in a wheelchair and want to be able to get out what are you suppose to do?

But the article doesn't offer much in how to get some financial help with these expensive vehicles. There are some grants available through the states and national organizations so here is a link to some of those programs.
The federal government also maintains a "benefits" website which may also list sources of funding for mobility needs.
